In our nearly two decades of representing Beneteau here in the Channel Islands, we have had countless Antares models come through South Pier Marine. We can very confidently state that in terms of value for money, quality and versatility, it’s almost impossible to think of anything which can compete with this, the ‘gold standard in weekenders’! 

The new Antares 9 V2 OB strikes a delicate balance between performance and seaworthiness and between providing generous exterior space while maximising interior volume. This latest model is slightly bigger than her predecessor, thanks to features such as a subtly increased beam, elongated single hull window and an extended aft roofline that pushes out above the cockpit for improved shelter. The skipper can now directly access a broader, deeper starboard side deck thanks to a compact yet functional side door and there’s also a starboard side gate with an optional swim ladder (an option included with this boat), providing easy access to the water as well as the pontoon. 

Refinements are also in abundance in the interior of the A9. There’s ample space for five adults to dine in comfort, with excellent views all round. Accommodation has been refined, for example, in the forward cabin where the softened bow shape and raised foredeck create plenty of volume and the designers have made good use of that with long deep windows, raised storage boxes and a sliding pocket door. Further aft, beyond the shared wetroom-style heads and shower compartment, the guest cabin adds another double bed to the mix in the form of a transverse cabin beneath the saloon floor. Overnighters are an absolute joy aboard this boat!
