The Broom 42 CL is rightly acknowledged for superb sea-keeping and its proven capability as an offshore cruiser. Anyone who has experienced livelier seas whilst aboard a 42 CL will have come away impressed with the stable and poised ride this vessel provided, which instils complete confidence in the crew at all times.
As is typical with Broom, the aft deck cockpit helm is very well-designed and provides the helmsman with a commanding position to skipper from. With such excellent visibility, close-quarters handling is not intimidating in the 42 CL. There's a sturdy canopy enclosure to keep everyone warm and dry when necessary and that is very simple to remove and store when the sun comes out.
The interior feels spacious and bright and again speaks to the fact that this vessel was designed by people who understand cruising. There are two supremely well-proportioned en-suite cabins which make extended time aboard a pleasure. The saloon is large and open-plan, with an ample-sized dinette and plenty of seating. Entertaining guests aboard is of course a strength of this boat, and she will give her owners countless special days afloat.
