History
Launched in 2018 by Nimbus, and initially used as a demonstrator by them, this boat was sold to the current private owner in January 2020. Presented in beautiful condition, the boat has been meticulously and professionally maintained by local Volvo agents Seapower Marine in Jersey, who have carried out full, comprehensive annual servicing. ‘Blue Dog’ has further benefited from mid-season lift outs for anode replacement and has been lovingly maintained by her owner.
Quality and Design
Nimbus Boats have a reputation for high-quality builds and are renowned for the beautiful finish of their vessels. ‘Blue Dog’ is certainly no exception, and her quality is evident from the instant one steps aboard. The practical design throughout is something Scandinavian boatbuilders do especially well and have led Nimbus motor craft to be described as a “Yachtsman’s boat.”
Performance
The Nova range of boats has always been highly regarded for their seakeeping, dynamic performance, and the safety and practicality of their walk-around decks. The 34 topped the range, offering 4 berths in two cabins, a generously sized toilet compartment/shower, and offering a double cockpit arrangement with plenty of seating, two fridges, a wet bar, and a drop-down sunbed. This model was considered by many to be one of their finest boats for either day boating with friends or extended cruising. The performance, economy, and ability to host friends and family in comfort make this a wonderfully versatile vessel.
